If Google would become a bit more helpfull, but it are holiday times now with a bit more freedom. It has to do with exceptional metadata in some cameratypes which blocks compressing. Is this a bug or a “feature” make us pay faster for more storage?
I tried to reupload an old photo i have uploaded years ago and then was compressed to like 1 mb, now when i uploaded it again the photo remained in it’s original file size. Same for uploads from backup n sync, phone or webpage. Sourceĭespite choosing “storage saver” option for uploads my photos are NOT getting compressed.
